Thanksgiving FAQ

Are you open for Thanksgiving?

We are closed to the public the entire week of Thanksgiving.  We will reopen the following Monday.

Can I order individual meals for Thanksgiving?

Unfortunately we only preparing family style meals for holidays, serving a minimum of 8 people.

How do I place a Holiday order?

The easiest way to place an order is online at honeyfromtherockcafe.com.  Orders can also be placed by phone 706-434-1098 option 5 or at the café during business hours.

When do I pay for my order?

Online orders must be paid for at the time the order is placed. Orders placed by phone or in person can be paid for at the time of pickup.  

Do you accept checks?

We do NOT accept personal checks, but we do accept all major credits and cash.

When do I pick up my order?

Pick up day is the Wednesday before Thanksgiving 10:00 am- 4 pm.  Special arrangements must be made to pick up any other time.

Can I pick up my order early?

Special arrangements can be made for orders to be picked up Monday or Tuesday the week of Thanksgiving. However, advance payment is required.

Is it possible to get my dish without nuts?

Yes we can prepare a dish without nuts. However, we cannot guarantee that it would be allergen free.  We will do our best to keep nut free orders separate but we do not have a segregated kitchen.

When is the last day to place an order?

The deadline to order a turkey is Friday Nov. 15th at noon.  The deadline of all other items (casseroles, deserts, miscellaneous extras) is Monday Nov. 18th at noon.

Can I add or remove items from an existing order?

Yes. Changes can be made on orders up until the deadline, Nov. 18th.  Give us a call and inform us of the changes you would like to make and we’ll take care of it, even if you’ve already paid.

Can I cancel my order?

Yes you have up until the deadline to cancel an order. Orders can only be cancelled over the phone or in person.

Will the food be hot or cold when I pick it up?

The food will be refrigerator cold at the time of pickup.  The food should be stored in the refrigerator until ready to heat and serve.

What are the reheating instructions?

Quart and pint containers are microwave safe, but foil pans are not. Be sure to either remove the paper label or replace the lid with foil before placing food in the oven. Heat at 325°F until warm in the center.

Can I pick up my food uncooked then finish cooking it at home?

Per health department regulations, we cannot sell uncooked food.  All of the food is fully cooked and would simply need to be reheated.

Can I place my Christmas order at the same time?

No. We do not accept Christmas orders until after Thanksgiving.
